The next West Country Clock and Watch Fair will be held on 19th November, at the usual venue, The Holiday Inn, Taunton. The Fair was initially set up in 2006 by ‘Wessex Fairs’ and was successfully run for half a dozen years, being taken over by Mike Jones in 2012 who had, and will continue to have, his own stall at the Fairs. Mike has now retired from running the Fairs, and has very kindly handed the management over to The Bristol Branch of the British Horological Institute. For those of you who do not know, the Bristol Branch of the BHI are a friendly bunch of professionals and amateurs who meet once a month to discuss common horological interests. (More details can be found on the ‘Bristol Branch’ Tab of our website www.westcountryclockfairs.co.uk). It is our intention to keep the Fairs very much in their current format, but also increase the numbers of visitors and stall holders to ensure continuing successful and enjoyable events.
